Sleeper Kids take WWKWL championships by storm!!!!

Sleeper Athletics Youth Wrestling Team had a great showing at the WWKWL Championships in Lake Stevens. The SA team included 3 wrestlers and took home 3 medals. Ian won every match by pin and earned 1st place in the intermediate division. Tenocht had a stellar performance in his 2nd wreslting tournament appeareance, winning 1st place in the bantam division. And Sleeper Atheltics newest addition, Jacob had some tough matches and was able to secure 4th place in the intermediate divisions. WWKWL Wrestling Championships – Feb 12 Lake Stevens

The Sleeper Atheltics Youth Wrestling Team is off to Lake Stevens tomorrow morning for the final WWKWL tournament of the season. Representing Sleeper Athletics will be Tenocht , Ian and Jacob (also wrestling for Sammamish Bulldogs). Both competitors have been traning hard and are ready to go. Hard work pays off – First place at Bad Draw for Ian and Tenocht!!!!!!

The Sleeper Athletics Youth Team braved the snow and headed north to Monroe High School for the WWKWL Bad Draw wrestling tournament. Despite the weather the tournament was well attended by talented wrestlers from across Washington. Competing for Sleeper Athletics was Ian and Tenocht. Ian is an experienced WWKWL competitor and finished all of his mathces by either pin or tech fall. Tenocht was debuting in WWKWL and took the competition by storm. Tenocht won all his matches by points (11-0, 8-0 and 5-3) and showed incredible poise and talent against some tough competition. Great job to both wrestlers!
