Revolution 3.17.12 was a great event for the Sleeper Athletics Competition Team and the northwest grappling community. We brought 6 Youth competitors (Syd, Jalen, Sey, Casey, Tenocht and Brandon) and 4 Adult competitors (Erin, Mike, Mac and Zach) and brought home a some serious hardware. Coach Syd, representing Edmonds BJJ and SA, had a great showing in the Juniors Blue Belt division. Syd used great technique and a keen understanding of the rule set to capture 1st place. In the Juniors Intermediate/Advanced No gi division, Syd had some stiff competition and was able to bring home a 2nd place medal.

No classes this Saturday March 17th – come support the team at Revolution
Reminder to all students, we will not be having classes on Saturday, March 17th. The team is headed to Bonney Lake High School for the Revolution. Cone out and cheer on the crew and watch some of the best grappling in the northwest. If you need a ride or have room in your car please let Cindy know so that we can make sure everyone who wants to go is able. Classes will be back on regular scheudle on Monday, March 19th. Tweet
Revolution registration ends this Wednesday at midnight!
Registration for the Revolution 3.17.12 ends at midnight on Wednesday, 3.14,12. If you haven’t registered yet, you better get on it. No late registrations will be accepted. Also please make sure to double check your weight if you registerd early. Changes need to be made by Wednesday as well. For registration and more information visit leapllc.com. Important rule changes for Revolution – students and parents please read!
Big changes to the Youth rules for the 2012 Revolution Season. We will be going over the new rule set with all team members over the next week. And the score boards will be coming out during sparring. Parents please make sure to go over the new rules as well to make sure everyone is clear on allowed and disallowed holds. We will also have a meeting in the next week or so for all parent/stuedent coaches to review the rules and strategize competitor game plans. Revolution 3/17/12, the northwest’s largest BJJ and submission grappling tournament, is coming up fast. It’s time to get a count of who is competing and start to get the whole team working hard and helping get the competitors ready.
